Who marks their text, and who can read it

Ten providers tracked with signatory status, text watermarking status, method, file-level provenance approach, public text detection availability, effective date, applicable deadline and a primary source for every claim.

No provider currently offers public detection of text watermarks. Where a fact cannot be sourced it is marked unknown rather than guessed, and every row carries the date it was last verified.

Three EU AI Act dates structure the field: 2 August 2026 for newly placed models, 2 December 2026 for models already on the market, and 2 February 2027 for interoperable detection.
